From the apocalyptic doom of "War Pigs", trippiness of "Planet Caravan", catchiness of the title track, to the bands' greatest song EVER, the almighty "Iron Man". Tony Iommi is the single most important person in the genre and is at his peak on this album. If you don't have it then you cannot truly call yourself a metalhead. |

Because it puts you right there, you really feel like you are experiencing everything that is going on in the album. It is mind-blowingly, earth-shatteringly epic in ways that would make Opeth bow to their knees. Sometimes you feel likeyou are being chased by a wrathful god, sometimes you feel like you're in the middle of the storm of the century, sometimes you feel like you're traveling through a wormhole or space, sometimes it feels like a sorceror is conjuring a massive spell, sometimes it feels like the entire Russian Army is marching after you...Oh, what the hell! Just buy the fuckin' thing already! |
