Pleymo Alphabet Prison
This is the album where Pleymo managed to blend the rap/nu-metal styles of their first two albums with the sensitive touch of the 'Rock' album with superb results. Highlights would have to be the infectious rant of opener 'Vanite''Sept' the single 'Adrenaline' and the closing combo of 'Le nouveau monde' & 'Qu'est ce qu'il nous restera' which sadly forewarned us of indefinite hiatus the band would soon announce.
Pleymo Episode 2: Medicine Cake
Classic French nu-metal album. This is a manic mix of rap/hip -hop, Limp Bizkit, Slipknot and Soulfly. Highlights among highlights are 'Kubrick' 'United nowhere' 'New wave' 'Tout le monde se leve' 'compact' and the calmer Deftones-like Star FM-R (an indication of where they'd go next). With this album and it's predecessor (Keskispasse?) Pleymo carved themselves a niche only to try something pretty different with their next album 'Rock'.

Purple sabbath is a masterpiece! Possibly my fave song by the mighty PTW, definitely in the top 5.

EMF Stigma
An underrated and overlooked gem of an album from EMF which improves upon the previous release that already had more to it than the massive pop hit 'Unbelievable.' This album really shows a huge leap in quality and maturity and the song 'They're here' (by far my favourite EMF track) would still be a huge and fresh sounding alternative rock hit if released today. It's Shame the album didn't really capture peoples attention back in the 90's.

I just re-discovered this album, listened to it on a CD player (remember those?) and it is an excellent album. I remember being disappointed upon release as it is quite different and softer than it's predecessor. Now however maybe I've mellowed out with age as I find this a catchy, quite varied and memorable concept record (a story about two characters 'Rock' and his evil (imaginary?) counterpart 'Injall') which works best listened to in it's entirety. Bravo Pleymo.

So sad to see this band call it quits, especially after such a phenomenal trio of albums. The two final tracks from Underoath(and the only new songs here)'Sunburnt' and 'Unsound' carry on the high quality of music set by the band's recent output, with the latter being generally more melodic and probably the better of the two songs. Listening to this just makes you hungry for more! Reunion please!

Life of Agony The Sound Of Scars
For me it doesn't come close to the first four albums but then again it may grow on me some more. It's actually a fun listen, quite upbeat sounding, has something of a STP meets LOA vibe (Weiland was surely an influence on Caputo) which I suppose is a little different for LOA even if Broken Valley had a little of that too. Scars, Black heart & Stone are my three top picks.

Upon first listen I was disappointed but after a few listens Ruining lives improves somewhat though its not as good as Carved into stone and sounds a bit rushed. The bass seems strangely low in the mix and I would have liked to hear a return of a few industrial noises/samples. Highlight 'Windows shut' would make a great choice for a single, a superb companion piece to 'Revenge...best served cold' from the previous album.
