Just checked some early Septicflesh after remembering they were mentioned as an influence on this band, I can definitely tell they were an inspiration to these guys.

I remember I checked it out but found the production made it kinda hard to listen to. Also, think the keyboards or synths were a bit much.

Regarding Heart of the Corona, I could see the production, def more raw sounding. There's less keys on Corona than on this album, though. But I'd say both albums use them tastefully.

Oh I love the keys here. Sounded like he was criticizing the keys on Heart of the Corona, which I just found odd cuz the keys are used a lot more here.

Such a killer record and really excellent take on melodic death metal. Was lucky to grow up close enough to these guys to get to see them every now and then back in the day. They were one of the best live bands in the area, no doubt.
