Who the fuck even writes that? Show a little respect buddy, I'm not a Christian myself, but
c'mon. There are lots of good bands that are Christian out there and you won't listen to

Even separating the artist from the art (with the whole Mike's "no such thing as a gay christian" tirade and whatnot), I can't remember one thing I really liked about this album. Just listened to it from a friend who kept pushing this band on me.

It all comes down to execution, and with 'Breaker', For Today shows that they can create a devastating album with arm raising lyrics that isn't too easy to forget. A step above anything they've ever done.

A few crappy songs the rest is good. Nice bass drops ron your ipod go to music settings and turn on bass booster EQ for extra pleasure xD

My friend told me this was the best release of 2010, topping "Wormwood, A New Era of Corruption and Lost Boy." Obviously I didn't have high expectations, but this hit even lower: Breaker is the most boring chugfest I've ever heard; For Today cannot seem to go thirty seconds without an absolutely terrible breakdown. The spoken word sections and Drew York's guest vocals are the only redeeming qualities.

This is my favorite For Today release to date. I've been a long time fan and I've seen them
improve through each and every album. Although I did find this album a bit less
instrumentally impressive than "Portraits", I did, however, enjoy listening to it a whole
lot more.

Mattie Montgomery's lyrical composition becomes more and more impressive with every release. The spoken word intro/interludes/outro are a breath of fresh air and do not disrupt the flow of "Breaker" in the slightest. The only downside of the album is that it seems a little short with only 8 musical tracks. However, that does not devalue For Today's efforts on their third and most impressive work. Be prepared for "Army of the Masses", "The Advocate" & "King" to make their way onto For Today's future set-lists.

I can't even rate this album as "average" because it felt like songwriting was conveniently traded for 4 minute long breakdowns. What was with the filler tracks with...rapping? ambient noise? Seriously, For Today should have stuck with the guitar wankery from Portraits and veered away from the ever repeating chug fest that these songs consist of. Real let down this album is.
